Remote editing and transfers

Edit a remote file

Opening a remote file downloads a working copy, launches the configured editor and watches for saved changes. The UI reports download, edit and upload states separately so a finished download never remains stuck as active.

Transfers

Uploads and downloads expose progress and failure details. Drag-and-drop uses the same transfer queue. Keep the app open until an active upload is complete.

Safety

Remote edits change the server immediately after upload. Keep backups for configuration and production files, and confirm the active host and path before overwriting.
