Versions, references and video extensions

The Versions view keeps specialized generation results as V1, V2 and so on. Each version belongs to its own prompt, model, provider account, settings and reference files. Ordinary text conversations keep their normal chat view.

Inspect without submitting

Choose a version to see its result and expand Prompt and inputs to review how it was made. Selecting V1 or V2 does not replace an unrelated draft or send another provider request. Earlier text messages in a mixed conversation remain accessible under Earlier messages.

Older result files load when selected. A loading error and the action to reload a saved result do not mean a new generation has been submitted.

Reuse a version

  1. Select the version you want to work from.
  2. Choose Use inputs.
  3. Check the restored prompt, original attachments, model, provider account and generation settings in the composer.
  4. Change the parts you want to improve.
  5. Choose Generate version to submit a new request.

Use inputs prepares a draft. It does not send the draft or relax your current access and execution settings. Reusing inputs is not a promise of an identical output; models and providers can produce different results.

Keep each reference in its own place

For models supporting them, First frame, Last frame, Images, Video and Audio are separate inputs. Adding a reference does not remove a frame. Replacing one frame replaces only that file. Removing a reference leaves the other inputs unchanged, and saved bindings survive reload.

Keep the complete intent in the new prompt. A specialized generation is not a coding agent with access to the project, and an earlier image or video is not automatically an input to the next request. Use the intended attachment controls or an eligible video extension.

Extend a completed video

Extend video appears only for a completed video with a saved job ID, a model that advertises continuation and the same provider account. Choose it to prepare the next draft. The composer shows a removable Video extension link to the earlier job.

Review the prompt and settings, then submit the new version. Removing Video extension starts a separate request. Ordinary Use inputs removes an earlier continuation link; it does not silently extend the previous job. Typing “continue” alone does not create that relationship.

A continuation is a new provider request and can incur a charge. If the model or account is not eligible, use the available reference inputs instead of assuming continuation is supported.

Handle failures deliberately

Read the reported provider reason and inspect the saved job state. Accepted asynchronous video jobs can resume status checks against their existing ID. A new paid submission is not automatically used to resolve an uncertain result. Use Copy error when asking for help, after reviewing the copied text for private details.
